I was encouraged for today's challenge to do something I have intended doing for sometime but keep delaying, that is to start an indoor herb garden.

I was initially inspired by the personalised terracotta pots featured above which I discovered at Martha Stewart. I decided to visit my favourite store Alfresco Emporium which has a very sweet garden section. There I found some wonderful aged mini terracotta pots which were housed in a lovely wooden crate. After much pleading the store finally relented and let me purchase the crate as well, which meant my garden was nearly complete. In selecting the herbs I chose the basics of  mint, parsley, coriander, basil, thyme and chili.
The whole shopping experience took just over an hour and I now have a lovely little crate of herbs in my kitchen and I can't believe it took me this long to get around to doing it!!!
