As the countdown to Christmas reaches its final week, I have been finally enjoying the benefits of my Christmas decorating. Lighting my candles each night and savouring the cinnamon and apple essence throughout my home is one of these delights.

In fact, It was not until I decided to join Nine Muses Musings prompt of "candles" that I realised quite how obsessed with candles I had become!

Every corner of my home seems to have some light shining from it!
Christmas squirrels
Even my children's rooms are not immune! In addition to the Christmas tree lights and the real candles we have on our tree, candle light abounds!

Not only am I filling my house with candles. But I am even giving them as gifts!!! I particularly love the perfume of these lovely candles I bought from "Shack" entitled "Mandarin Kiss", they smell absolutely beautiful!

But , being a lover of literature, I think my all time favourite, is this candle and diffuser I bought in "Borders"
entitled ex libris Jane Austin. Which conjures up lovely images of reading by candlelight!
When I read the label on the side of the box it made me realise why I love candles so much!
